Unfortunately we had to stop gardening due to lockdown but our volunteers were busy sowing seeds and raising plants at home ready to plant in Brighouse when we were able to start gardening again. Back in April one of our volunteers snapped these beautiful tulips which we planted in the raised boxes on the grass…
We aim to empower the community to retain and reuse our green spaces. Our mission is to turn unloved spaces into beautiful, practical areas by growing herbs, fruit and vegetables.
We are all unpaid volunteers who give up a couple of hours a month, doing a range of activities from weeding, planting and harvesting to running a stall at Brighouse events. We have a tiny budget, relying on fund-raising, donations and good-will to achieve our goals. And there are many small ways in which YOU can help!
INDIVIDUALS CAN AND DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
In view of the current situation we are suspending gardening. We will review the situation in accordance with government advice.
Please understand some of the plots in the town centre will start to look untidy and also we will not be able to plant and grow vegetables for a while.
We had entered Yorkshire in Bloom again this year but judging has also been cancelled.
Thank you to our volunteers and everyone who has supported us.
Stay Home, Stay Safe!
We would like to say a big thank you to all the local businesses that have supported us over the last few years, whether it has been by giving a donation or staff time to help our projects along.

Apologies for being late posting some pictures of our beds which we did some knitting for and decorated for the 11th November Remembrance Day.
