On Tuesday 11th September we held a Corporate event when a team from The Halifax came to “Make a Difference Day” on the Community Garden at Bridge End. The team pruned and weeded, barrowed tons of soil and manure, built wooden raised boxes, moved railway sleepers, built an entrance with gates, painted tables and benches…
We aim to empower the community to retain and reuse our green spaces. Our mission is to turn unloved spaces into beautiful, practical areas by growing herbs, fruit and vegetables.
We are all unpaid volunteers who give up a couple of hours a month, doing a range of activities from weeding, planting and harvesting to running a stall at Brighouse events. We have a tiny budget, relying on fund-raising, donations and good-will to achieve our goals. And there are many small ways in which YOU can help!
INDIVIDUALS CAN AND DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
